When Kim Kardashian found out she was having a girl on the season eight premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she said that her boyfriend Kanye West had always wanted a daughter.

A source close to Kanye reveals to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that the “New Slaves” rapper isn’t just happy — he’s ecstatic!
“That’s an understatement — he is crazy happy!” the insider reveals. “He can’t wait for his little princess to get here.”
But while Kanye is super happy to have a baby daughter to spoil, the source says Kanye is just happy to be a dad period, no matter the gender.
“It doesn’t really matter to him what sex his baby will be, the most important thing is that the baby is healthy,” the source adds. “He’s ready to be a father, and this girl of his lucky to have a pops like him.”
Kanye West Keeps Face Hidden Walking Into Kim Kardashian’s Baby Shower
As excited as Kanye is to be a dad, he looked incredibly underwhelmed while walking into Kim’s baby shower on June 2. He kept his face hidden in his hoodie, and stormed inside as soon as he could. However, a source tells us that it wasn’t that Kanye wasn’t happy to be there — he actually had a blast!
"He covered his face going in because as we all know, he hates the paps," the insider says. "But once inside, everyone got to see how loving and doting he was towards Kim. They opened gifts together and there was lots of laughter and Kanye whispering sweet things to Kim. The shower yesterday was a big celebration of love for them and a celebration of the next chapter of their lives together with the new baby."
