Kate Middleton Abruptly Leaves For London: Headed To Hospital? Is the baby on the way? Kate Middleton has been hiding out in Bucklebury, England with her mom Carole Middleton and Prince William to escape the dreadful London heatwave, and relax before her first baby arrives. But on July 19 at around 3 p.m. Bucklebury time (10 a.m. EST), Kate and Will abruptly left and made the journey back to London! Kate Middleton & Prince William London Kate made the nearly 90-minute trip back to London on July 19, according to Us Weekly, and all of the security sent to Bucklebury to protect the royal couple has since left. But it’s unclear whether or not the couple was headed straight for St. Mary’s hospital — where Kate is due to give birth — or just back to Kensington Palace to wait out the arrival of the royal baby. Kate Middleton Originally Due July 19? Despite earlier reports that Kate was due on July 13, a week has passed with no sign of the royal baby. But a new report reveals that the staff at St. Mary’s hospital was always told to be prepared for Kate to give birth around July 19. The royal source tells the paper: A small number of staff at St. Mary's who might be called upon when the Duchess gives birth were told they had to remain teetotal for a month before the due date. They were told the due date was July 19, meaning they couldn't drink from June 19 onwards. So how did this date remain such a mystery? "Only a handful of people were told [the July 19 date]," The Telegraph reports, "because there are very few hospital staff who might be needed in the case of an emergency."
