Fresh from their panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 19, the first trailer for ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 has just been released! Keep reading and watch the video.
The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, David Morrissey, and more teamed up for the July 19 Comic-Con panel for the very successful cable series, where they discussed the record-breaking third season and what to look forward to in season 4!
‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Trailer — Video Released At Comic-Con
“Things are going to be way crazier. It’s an escalation” says creator Robert Kirkman. ”It’s going to get insane this season.”
At the end of season three, the Governor (played by David Morrissey) shoots down most of his group after they stage an ambush. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) welcomes the remaining Woodbury survivors to the prison, but the Governor’s whereabouts remain unknown.
The “negative reinforcement” the Governor received will have a major impact on the character, the cast announced during the panel. How he returns and when he returns will be a big mystery this season. “All bets are off.”
Season 4 Scoop: Relationships Develop
While the group fears the Governor’s return, they’ll also develop new relationships this season.
“The relationship with [his son] Carl is integral to the beginning of the season for Rick” says Andrew. When he’s asked whether he’ll have a love interest this season, such as Michonne (played by Danai Gurira), he jokes that they’re currently playing footsies.
Norman, on the other hand, is rooting for his character, Daryl, and Michonne to hook up. “And maybe Rick can join in!” he adds to much applause.
On top of potential new love interests, season four will bring a lot more zombies, much more action and super scary obstacles, as evidenced by the new four-minute trailer.
