As the arrival of the royal baby gets closer and closer, everyone in the royal circle is taking every precaution imaginable. In preparation, Kate has been hiding out from the public and making sure she’s completely ready for the arrival of her baby!
Kate Middleton, 31, has been taking it easy in the weeks leading up to the birth of her baby. Since her final pre-baby appearance on June 15, she has been hiding out from the public. Everyone is already dying to know when Kate will give birth, but where she is staying until her big day?
Kate Middleton’s Pre-Baby Hiding Spot
As a major spectacle of the public eye, Kate is typically out and about, hopping from one charity or special event to another. But now that she is just weeks away from giving birth, she is lying low and hiding out — at her parent’s house!
Although Kate wishes she could spend time closer to Prince William, 31, as he completes his time as a rescue helicopter pilot in North Wales, she has been advised to stay closer to London to be near St. Mary’s Hospital, where she will give birth. A friend of the couple tells People:
They were apparently nervous about her traveling north [to be closer to William] when it has all been so carefully worked out for her in London.
Kate has spent a majority of her time at her parents’ home in Bucklebury, which is about 55 miles west of London. But she also goes to London from time to time. Although she mainly has been staying out of the public eye, Kate was spotted at a salon and an antique store in a town near her family’s home on June 20.
Kate Middleton Is Nervous Prince William Won’t Be At Royal Baby Birth
Since William is still finishing up his time in Wales, Kate has expressed concerns that he might not make it in time for the birth — especially if she is due earlier than the July 15 date that was originally announced, as rumors about a fibbed due date have speculated.
"Kate's worried he might not be around," a source told Now Magazine. "She's feeling self-conscious because it's uncharted territory for both of them."
Despite the concerns, William has been doing all he can to spend time with Kate, and People reported that royal watchers expect he has likely taken days off in preparation for the baby’s arrival. Considering Kate has a solid hide out spot set until the big day, William knows exactly where he needs to be. It’s just a matter of when!
