Rihanna’s Twitter dig at Chris on July 4 was her most vicious and overt yet. Was it so bad that even RiRi thinks she crossed the line?
Bad breakups can make people do crazy things. On July 4, Rihanna proved that she was still feeling the effects of her split from Chris Brown when she lashed out at him after he tweeted she would be on his upcoming album, X. Now that the dust has settled from that diss, a source close to the singer tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that she realizes she took it too far.

The source explains that Rihanna, who’s currently on tour in Europe, had a moment of weakness when posting those Twitter and Instagram disses. She wasn’t in her right mind when she saw Chris’ tweet and responded with the Instagram message, “Bitch you will die, be born again, die again and be born again before I do a song with you bitch,” and the tweet, “Phuck O.utta H.ere B.itch!!!”
Another friend of the singer’s told HollywoodLife.com that she was shocked Rihanna slammed Chris so publicly like that.
When you’re going through a breakup, the last thing you want to do is let your ex know that you’re still feeling down, so it makes total sense that Rihanna would regret lashing out so harshly. You try so hard to keep the emotions in and private, but sometimes they just burst out.
Chris Brown: Will He Respond To Rihanna’s Disses?
As for Chris, he’s doing his best to keep the peace and not respond to Rihanna. “What’s the point,” a source close to Chris said to HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “That's his ex girl, he's not about to go in on her like that in public. He's just going to go about his day like it didn't happen.”
Even though Rihanna called him out so hard, the source says Chris still “hopes she’s well and having a good day.” Everyone has a weak moment from time to time, at least Chris knows to not let that tweet and Instagram post blow up into anything more.
