Awww, this is so cute! Selena Gomez is not only the best big sister ever, but she is also a great daughter! Selena tells ‘Good Morning America’ that she is really happy for her parents for having her new baby sister Gracie because they’ve been trying for so long — what a nice thing to say!
Selena Gomez, 21, is a new sister and she is totally embracing it! Her baby sister Gracie Elliot Teefey was born on June 12 — and Selena could not be happier to take on the role of big sister. Selena is also super happy for her mother and her stepfather who had been yearning to have a child and give Selena a little sibling to play with. Selena revealed why she’s overwhelmingly happy for her parents and filled us in on how Gracie is doing!
Selena Gomez Says She’s Happy For Her Parents On ‘GMA’ — Gracie Is A Dream Come True
On July 26, Selena was on Good Morning America to perform songs from her new album, Stars Dance, but she didn’t leave without first speaking of her joy for her parents and for the health and wellness of her new sister, baby Gracie.
“My family has been trying for a while, so I’m so happy for them,” Selena announced on ‘GMA.’ This was the first time Selena made any mention of her parents trying to have a child for a long period of time. What’s even better to know is that Selena has no rivalry with her new sibling. She couldn’t be happier for her parents because she knows that they’ve wanted another child for a while — what a great daughter!
Selena’s mom Mandy Teefey suffered a devastating miscarriage in 2011, so Gracie is a special miracle for the couple.
Selena Gomez: Role Model Big Sister
Now that Selena’s family has grown, Selena is proud to be a role model for and big sister to young Gracie. She was happy to report to ‘GMA’ that Gracie is doing very well. “She’s healthy and beautiful, and I’m very happy” Selena said.
