The TCA stage had tons of standout performances: One Direction opened the show with a bang, and Demi Lovato, Paramore, and Florida Georgia Line & Nelly all gave great performances of their top hits — but Demi really brought the house down with her powerful performance of “Made In The USA,” — complete with Nick Jonas on the drums!
Best Award Acceptance Speeches
It’s not always what you say, but what you’re wearing when you say it? At least that’s the case with Rebel Wilson, who gave a hilarious award acceptance speech dressed in a surf-ready full bodysuit and flip-flops! She picked up the Choice Comedy Actress award.
Lea Michele‘s tearful acceptance speech, dedicated to Cory Monteith, had everyone holding back tears of their own. Her emotional speech was genuinely heartfelt and really payed tribute to the life and legacy of Cory and Glee.
Teen Choice Awards Hosts Lucy Hale & Darren Criss
It’s no surprise that Lucy Hale and Darren Criss were really fun hosts and brought terrific energy to the awards show — but the pair had great chemistry together! Darren and Lucy joked together throughout the night — each representing their Gleeks and Pliars! Lucy even donned an oversized referee jersey while Darren got into full football gear — including a clumsy mouthguard! — to introduce the sports awards. They definitely didn’t stop at anything to put on a great show.
