Chris’s character, Adam Weaver, is said to make a ‘huge impact’ on ‘The Carrie Diaries,’ executive producer Amy B. Harris tells HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TV Line. Should Sebastian be worried? All signs point to yes!

Chris Wood (Girls, Major Crimes) has been cast on multiple episodes of The Carrie Diaries as Adam Weaver, a playwright who will strike up both a professional and a personal relationship with Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb).

‘The Carrie Diaries’ Season 2 Cast — Chris Woods Cast As Carrie’s Love Interest

Executive producer Amy B. Harris tells HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TV Line that this romance will play an integral role in Carrie’s “coming of age story and will have profound repercussions for her and Sebastian.”

In case you don’t remember, Sebastian cheated on Carrie by hooking up with her BFF Maggie (Katie Findlay) at the end of season one.

However, Adam or no Adam, there’s still hope for Carrie and Sebastian in the future.

"I definitely see a lot more of them [in the future]. They're not over. It's a much more complicated thing but you don't just turn off your feelings for someone, and that's a very hard, sad truth for people. When you're drawn to someone, even if they're not good for you, you feel connected. In a lot of ways, Carrie and Sebastian are very good for each other," Amy told The Hollywood Reporter.

In other major casting news for season two, Molly Sims will play a love interest for Sebastian (Austin Butler) and Lindsey Gort will come on board as a young version of Samantha Jones, who was portrayed by Kim Cattrall in Sex and the City.

The Carrie Diaries' second season premieres Friday, Oct. 25 at 8/7c.
