Laura Prepon got rave reviews for playing Alex Vause, a drug dealer and Piper Chapman’s lover [Taylor Schilling], on Orange Is The New Black. But a new report claims that she might be leaving the Netflix hit, just when it’s starting to get some major buzz!
Is Laura Prepon Leaving ‘Orange Is The New Black’?
Orange Is The New Black, is an American series that first aired on Netflix. The show, which is funny yet serious, is about a woman’s experiences in prison, after being arrested for transporting drug money. The show has a cult following now and is getting great feedback.
So it came as a shock to everyone when Buzzfeed reported that Laura will not be a regular on season two! But Netflix is denying the report calling it “Not accurate. Our season is still developing and nothing is confirmed.”
The report claims that Laura might return to tie up any loose ends in her storyline before leaving the show altogether. This is surprising because she is one of the main stars of the show!
One of her agents said he wouldn’t talk about the show, while her rep hasn’t commented at all.
Laura Raves About ‘Orange Is The New Black’
Just recently, Laura was talking about how much she loved being on the show.
“It’s cool because, as a female actress, you always try to look for roles that are challenging, different and new,” she said. “It’s hard to find something like that. When we read roles, it’s usually another f**king typical female role. When I read this script, there were so many rad roles, so when I read Alex I loved her.”
