On August 16, a judge reinstated Chris’ probation and sentenced him to perform 1,000 more hours of community labor.

Chris Brown is facing 1,000 more hours of community service after the Los Angeles County District Attorney accused him of fibbing about his records. Read on for more details.

Chris Brown Sentenced To 1,000 More Community Service Hours — Do-Over

The D.A. believes Chris, 24, lied in his community service reports, thereby violating his probation in the Rihanna assault case. The D.A. claims that Chris even swore he was picking up trash in his home state of Virginia, when in reality he was traveling to Cancun on his private jet, according to TMZ.

The judge revoked Chris’ probation in June after the singer got slapped with hit-and-run charges, which were dismissed on August 15. Chris’ probation was reinstated on August 16 — but only on the condition that he log 1,000 more service hours.

Chris, who won’t get any credit for the hours he completed since his conviction in 2009, appeared upset after hearing the judge’s ruling.

Last time the judge said Chris could do his hours in Virginia, but now his community service will be supervised by L.A. County officials. Chris has been given the option of doing highway or beach cleanup, probation alternative work services, or grafitti removal.

He must also report to a probation officer within the next 48 hours.

Chris Brown’s Hit & Run Case Dismissed

At least Chris got some good news when his hit and run case was dismissed by the judge on August 15. The L.A. City Attorney seemed out to get Chris, but thankfully, the victim in the accident decided not to press charges.

Although the prosecutors really felt Chris was wrong to leave the scene without exchanging proper information on the day of his hit and run in May 2013, it appears the judge didn’t see it that way.

In case you forgot, Chris was caught driving without insurance or a drivers license when he had a minor fender bender with a woman. Also in the car was his girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

"I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run," Chris tweeted on July 22, "I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!"

Chris’ attorney Mark Geragos spoke out after the case was dismissed this:

“The case never should have been filed in the first place. It’s unfortunate he was being prosecuted for who he is rather than what he’s done.”

Chris was officially booked for the hit and run charge on August 5, but he actually turned himself in a day early so he could avoid being photographed. Chris arrived at the Van Nuys jail at 2:40 p.m., was booked two minutes later and then released at 3:22 p.m. with no bail.

Even though Chris has a lot of community service ahead of him, we’re sure he’s happy to have a clean slate. Chris’ probation will officially end in August 2014, so he only has one more year to go.
