Gia Allemand In Church Day Before Suicide
Gia, who was reportedly a practicing Christian, went to church on Aug. 11, and was seen taking notes during her pastor’s sermon.
Maybe this is why she tweeted a Bible verse from Proverbs 21:3 that same day: “Doing what is right and fair pleases The Lord more than an offering.”
It turns out Gia had been “struggling” and “couldn’t see the love around her.”
The day of her attempted suicide by hanging, on Aug. 12, Gia reportedly went about her normal routine and even taught at an exercise class.
Gia’s Boyfriend Releases Emotional Statement After Her Tragic Death
Despite reports that Gia and her NBA star boyfriend, Mike Anderson, were having problems, he released a very emotional statement after her death:
“I’m deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans,” he said in a statement. “Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile. She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared.”
There are claims that Gia was upset that Mike hadn’t proposed and she had plans to move to New York. Gia reportedly was suffering from severe depression.
Gia’s funeral service will be held at Papavero Funeral Home in Queens, NY., although no date has been set.
