Gia Allemand’s Funeral Details Revealed — Reality Star Laid To Rest In Queens
Gia’s funeral service will be held at Papavero Funeral Home, Us Weekly reports. No date has been set at this time.
Gia, 29, died from a suicide attempt on August 14, after being taken off life support at a New Orleans hospital. The reality star reportedly suffered depression, which may or many not have stemmed from troubles in her relationship with NBA player Ryan Anderson, 25.
Gia was allegedly upset that Ryan hadn’t proposed yet, Radar Online claims.
Friends Are Not Shocked By Gia’s Death
"I'm not that shocked [by her suicide], because of her ups and downs," a friend told the New York Post. "She fell victim to her own perfection and they were having problems."
Another friend told the Post that Gia had substances abuse issues with prescription drugs.
"The first thing everyone thought was prescription drugs," the friend said.
Regardless of how Gia passed, she’ll surely be missed. The reality star rose to fame on the 14th season of The Bachelor, starring Jake Pavelka.
