Friends and family gathered to say a final goodbye and celebrate the life of Gia Allemand on Aug. 22 in a funeral service in lower Manhattan. See the pictures here.

Gia Allemand‘s sudden death on Aug. 14 shocked her friends, family and loved ones. The Bachelor star was laid to rest at Trinity Grace Church in Chelsea, NY in a “beautiful service” planned by the family, and her former lover Jake Pavelka was in attendance.

Gia Allemand’s Funeral Following Two Memorials

Gia was peacefully laid to rest at 11 A.M. in lower Manhattan, a day after a public viewing at Papavero Funeral Home in Gia’s hometown, Queens. The visitation was one of many tributes that friends and families have been planning.

The hurst carrying Gia’s coffin was decorated with a floral arraignment bearing her name. Mourners wore black, and Gia’s mother was seen in tears outside the church.

Jake, who Gia romanced on The Bachelor, tweeted “Going 2 b an incredibly tough day.  Crossfit train n NY 2 occupy my mind. Then…Find my peace w Gia. Can I ask 4 ur prayers today?” about attending the funeral.

On Aug. 17, about 50 friends gathered in New Orleans, where Gia was working, to pay their respects, E! reports. The memorial was organized by Gia’s colleagues at Pure Barre gym, where she used to work as an instructor. Attendees threw white flowers into the Mississippi River in her honor.

The invitation to the service read: “Today, we wear this white ribbon in Gia’s honor. Please join us in prayer as we toss white flowers into the river to symbolize that our love and memory of her will continue to flow in our hearts.”

Gia’s Family Feeling An ‘Outpouring Of Love’

HollywoodLife.com previously spoke to a rep for Gia’s family’s, who released this exclusive statement about the funeral:

A number of friends and acquaintances have confirmed their travel plans and are coming to town to pay their respects. We are truly overwhelmed with the outpouring of love. We pray that love is the healer this week.
