Manti Te’o might have finally met the man behind the woman. The man Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, claims to be Lennay Kekua. He says that Manti had no idea what was going on.
What Ronaiah Has To Say About The Manti Hoax
Now that Ronaiah is exposed, he says in this interview: “I pretty much had this escape of Lennay and this was where my heart had pretty much invested, not just time, but all of my energy went into this.”
He went on to say that his feelings were real for the football star: “As twisted and confusing as it may be, yeah, I cared for this person. I did all that I could to help this person become a better person, even though I wasn’t getting nothing out of it.”
Manti Said He’s Not Gay
We told you that during Manti’s interview with Katie Couric he was asked if he was gay.
“She was Polynesian. She was a sophomore. I was a sophomore …There was a lot of comfort in being able to talk to someone who knows my standards and I know her standards.” When she asked ‘are you gay’ he responded quickly: “No. Far from it. Far from it.”
