Kate Middleton and Prince William are claiming they don’t know the gender of their baby, but during an appearance to the National Fishing Heritage Centre on March 5, the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge might have accidentally let it slip that she is expecting a girl!
When Kate greeted fans and admirers, she received and adorable teddy bear from a local Diane Burton, Us Weekly reported. As she accepted the gift, she said, "Thank you, I'll take that for my d–" then stopped herself before she could finish, leaving many to wonder if she meant to say daughter.
As she was going through the line of well-wishers, Kate denied that she had started to say she was having a daughter — and insisted that they don’t know the gender of their baby-to-be just yet!
Sandra Cook, 67, overheard Kate’s slip of the tongue.
"I said to her: 'You were going to say daughter weren't you?' and she said, 'No, we don't know.'" Sandra revealed. "I said, 'Oh, I think you do', to which she said: 'We're not telling.'" Even though she wouldn’t fess up about their baby’s gender, she couldn’t help smiling from ear-to-ear while clutching her new gift!
