Talking with Harper’s Bazaar for their April issue, the 20-year-old actress gives us an intimate glimpse into her emotions, including her thoughts on love.
“I believe in love,” Selena bluntly says, “Yes, I’m one of those girls.” Well isn’t that sweet!
Selena goes on to say that she’s so encouraged and ready for love because of the positive experiences her friends have had. And she looks around the celebrity universe and sees romantic success stories that keep her going.

“You see Jay and Beyonce and you’re like, ‘Oh, my gosh, they’re perfect for each other.’” Selena also claims that a certain “California Girl” has been supporting Selena post-Justin: “I went out with Katy Perry last night,” Selena tells the reporter.
“She’s so fun and awesome, but it’s cool to see someone older believe in love too.” The Wizards of Waverly Place megastar continued to gush about Katy’s outlook on love: “She is all about it, and that’s how I will always be. I believe in stories like, ‘Oh, I met him at Starbucks.’” Cue every Selena Gomez admirer rushing to every Starbucks in Los Angeles trying to fake a spontaneous meeting.
But honestly — how cute is that? We’re happy to hear that Selena’s messy breakup with Justin hasn’t diminished her outlook on finding love. Her post-breakup attitude is amazing! Being hopelessly romantic seems to working far better than whatever her ex is doing.
