Authorities Release Pictures Of Potential Boston Bombing Suspects Apr 18th 2013, 21:22 Authorities are seeking the help of the public in identifying potential suspects in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15. New photos from the Boston Marathon were first revealed on April 18, showing potential suspects appearing and acting suspiciously before the explosions on April 15. Authorities have now released a set of photos, hoping that the public may help in identifying the potential perpetrators. Bombing Suspect Photos Released Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said the FBI would like to speak to “individuals” about the blast case, The Boston Globe reported. She was also quick to note that these individuals are not necessarily suspects. She testified before a Congressional committee on April 18, saying that some of the video collected from near the Boston Marathon finish line had raised questions. “But we need the public’s help in locating these individuals. The investigation is proceeding apace. This is not an NCIS episode. Sometimes you have to take time to properly put the chain together to identify the perpetrators, but everybody's committed to seeing that that gets done in the right way," she told Representative Michael McCaul at the Homeland Security Committee. Boston Marathon Bombings There were two massive explosions at 2:50 pm on April 15, near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. About 183 people were injured and three were killed, including an 8-year-old boy. President Obama attended the interfaith service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the South End of Boston on April 18. He and wife Michelle Obama attended and showed their support for those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.
