President Obama has arrived at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the South End of Boston. He and wife Michelle Obama are attending the interfaith service, on April 18, and supporting those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings that occurred on April 15.
Boston Interfaith Service — President Obama Attends
“The president will meet with first responders – both volunteers and professionals – as well as some impacted families,” The Boston Globe reports. “A spokesman tells pool reporters that Obama worked on his speech today himself, will speak about resilience of people of Boston.”
People inside the cathedral are wearing ties and roman collars as well as yamakas and marathon jackets and marathon medals.
Boston Bombings
There were two explosions at 2:50 pm on April 15, near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Sadly, about 183 people were injured and three were killed.
On April 15, President Obama said that he will not stop until the person responsible is found.
We’re so glad that the President is offering his support to those affected in Boston. Do you agree, HollywoodLifers?
