Salah Barhoun was forced to deny that he was connected with the Boston bombing after photos were released of him carrying a bag near the finish line of the famous marathon on April 15. The 17-year-old used his Facebook account to declare his innocence!

The picture of the 17-year-old Moroccan high school student, Salah Barhoun, was revealed on April 18, three days after the April 15 Boston explosions that killed three and injured at least 183. It was reported that the man in blue was being sought by the FBI. Since then, he has used his Facebook account to deny any wrongdoing.

Salah Barhoun: Suspect No More?

The brother of the track athlete told ABC News that Salah went to the police on April 17 to clear his name. Their mother was “sick and upset” that Salah had been connected to the horrifying attack.

“It made her think he had done something wrong,” Salah’s brother said. “My brother is not the bomber.”

Salah told ABC News, “It’s the worst feeling that I can possibly feel… I’m only 17.”

Salah reportedly wanted to run in the marathon, but when he couldn’t for unknown reasons, he went to watch the race instead.

After realizing his photo was making the rounds in the media, Salah used Facebook to try and clear his name.

“Going to the court right now!! S*** is real. But u will see guys I’m did not do anything.” Hours later, he wrote, “back home! everything is fake but god is with me.”

FBI Will Release Photos Of Individuals They Want To Question

Later today, the FBI will allegedly release images of individuals they hope to question in connection with the bombings.

There were two explosions at 2:50 pm on April 15, near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. About 183 people were injured and three were killed.
