One of Kate's biggest fans, a 10-year-old girl, was very disappointed when she missed the Duchess' appearance in her hometown. The young fan expressed her concern in a letter that she wrote to Kate, and the mom-to-be replied back! Are YOU surprised that Kate responded?

Kate Middleton, 31, felt awful when she found out that one of her biggest fans, Isabella Clarkson, missed her appearance in the little girl’s hometown. Kate expressed her appreciation to Isabella by replying to the young fan’s letter!

Students Awaited Kate Middleton's Arrival is Frigid Weather

As a student at Old Clee Academy, Isabella was sure to make her way to see the pregnant royal! On March 5 Kate attracted thousands of fans that granted her nothing but well-wishes as she visited the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, England. Isabella visited the princess alongside her siblings, Alice, 8, and Reuben, 4, according to People.

Unfortunately Kate's helicopter was an hour and a half late arriving to her appearance due to thick fog according to a report by the Grimsby Telegraph. All the students at Old Clee awaited the royal lady's arrival at one of the tour sites for the visit. Students were let down after they waited to catch a glimpse of the Duchess of Cambridge in freezing cold temperatures. Many even brought gifts and flowers, and Isabella briefly saw Kate's hand waving to fans as her car passed.

Kate Middleton Replies To Young Fan's Letter

"I'd spent ages making a glittery banner to hold the night before, but I don't think she saw it," Isabella said. "I wrote a letter to her afterwards saying how disappointed we all were not to get to meet her – and then we got a reply."

Jackie, Isabella's mother, was so excited by the letter that she brought the letter to Isabelle's school, from St. James Palace, where Isabella's teacher read the letter out loud. In the note Kate wrote that she was "immensely touched" by Isabelle taking her time out to write! A photo of Kate was also attached to the letter as memorabilia.

How exciting for Isabella, who plans to frame the letter and keep it!

"I think Kate is doing all the good work that Princess Diana did and she seems very generous," Isabella told The Telegraph.

Let us know what YOU think, HollywoodLifers, are YOU surprised that the Duchess of Cambridge responded to the little girls letter?
