Since filing for divorce from Tom Cruise last June, Katie Holmes, 34, has been cautious about stepping back into the dating world — has she finally found a new guy?
A new report by Grazia magazine claims that Katie has been “on a few dates” with 29-year-old jazz musician Peter Cincotti. “It’s early days, but they met up two weeks ago at the New York Observer’s 25th anniversary party. They have a lot in common — he’s a total stage buff,” a source tells the magazine.
Although the magazine claims Katie and Peter have a blossoming romance, a spokesperson for the actress denied that the pair is a couple, according to MailOnline.
Katie Holmes Is Afraid To Date After Tom Cruise Divorce
It seems that Katie isn’t getting back in the dating game yet, but a new report that she’s scared to date after her divorce could point to the reason why she’s putting it off.
"Katie's in a dilemma, because she wants to date but is concerned where it could lead to from there," a source tells Radar Online. "She's worried that if she commits herself fully to another man, she will have to give up the freedom she's enjoying so much at the moment. As a single woman, she has no one controlling her nowadays, telling her what to do or who to see and she absolutely loves it!"
Although Katie isn’t ready to date just yet, she does hope to find romance again. The source adds, "[Katie] also misses being with someone special to share experiences with and she doesn't want to be alone for the rest of her life. Katie's got Suri for the time being, and she is her best friend, but she does eventually want to find a man she can be that close with as well. She's just a little nervous and cautious about relationships still right now.”
