Jenny McCarthy is about to spice things up at ABC’s The View! The 40-year-old is reportedly “in talks” to join the show in August. Jenny has been a guest co-host on the show several times and it appears her outspoken ways will earn her a coveted seat next to Whoppi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Sherri Shepherd.
Jenny McCarthy Joining ‘The View’
The hilarious blonde, known for her strong views on autism, is reportedly a “good fit” for the show. Jenny’s 10-year-old son Evan has autism.
Us Weekly spoke to a source who says that they are working on closing a deal with Jenny.
“She is in talks right now,” the source says. “The cast and crew get a kick out of Jenny, she’s a good fit.”
She is currently the host of The Jenny McCarthy Show on VH1, but is “open” to switching networks.
Jenny recently spoke about possibly joining the show and replacing Joy.
“I will be helping them while they’re looking,” Jenny said. “But maybe sometime in the future I’ll be there.”
It’s exciting to see The View trying to change things up but it will be sad to see Joy leave. It’ll be interesting to see what happens and how she ends up jelling with the other opinionated cast members. Especially since Elisabeth is such a strong woman on the show and blonde too!
