Rihanna's Braided Beauty — Do You Love Her New Look? Vote Jul 5th 2013, 16:19, by HL Intern Rihanna isn’t one to shy away from a bold beauty look, but her latest hair style has us raising our brows. We haven’t seen RiRi rock a hairdo like this before, so what do you think of her new look? Vote! Rihanna obviously loves to Instagram her beauty looks, and who can blame her? After all, the singer has a collection with MAC, so she’s something of a beauty icon. But her July 3 post to Instagram showed us a totally new side of Rihanna — a braided one! We’re so used to seeing her with long hair and a bold lip that we were totally shocked! Rihanna Shows Off New Braided Style Like we said, Rihanna is most often seen out and about with a bright bold lip — her MAC collection has three different shades — and long, loose hair. That being said, after we got over our initial shock, we’re absolutely loving this latest look on Rihanna! Rihanna posed and acted silly while showing off her milk-maid style braids, and we think she looked totally sweet and pretty! Get Rihanna’s Milk-Maid Braids Milk-maid braids are a great style for the summer because they’re easy to create and keep your hair off your neck and face. To get a similar look to Rihanna’s, brush your hair out and part it straight down the middle. Then braid each side of your hair straight down, until you look very Heidi-esque. Secure with a clear elastic at the ends. Next, flip one side of your braid directly up and start securing the braid along your head with bobby pins. Then, repeat with your other braid. Once both braids are secure, tuck the ends of the braids under the adjacent braid. The clear elastic will ensure that no one sees where one braid starts and the other finishes.
