As Lamar Odom battles a drug addiction that is driving a wedge between him and Khloe, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that the Kardashian family has rushed to Khloe’s side to support her.
These are the moments that family is for. Ever since the news broke that the real issue with Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s marriage is a debilitating drug addiction on Aug. 23, the Kardashian clan has made sure to be there for whatever she needs.
Khloe Kardashian Getting Support From Her Family
“The entire family is rallying around Khloe,” a source close to the Kardashians told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They support her whatever she decides to do.”
This has been an excruciating ordeal for Khloe. Not only is she having trouble with Lamar because of his dangerous drug habit, but she’s also been put through the rumor mill, with report after report claiming that Lamar was cheating and/or that the couple was divorcing.
The source explains:
She’s totally embarrassed because everyone thinks Lamar has been cheating and that she hasn’t been able to give him a baby. But in reality he’s been doing drugs and she hasn’t wanted to start a family with him while he’s like that. She’s never been able to tell everyone the truth because she’s been protecting him.
Lamar Odom’s Drug Addiction: Khloe Kardashian Sticking By Him
Lamar’s struggle with drugs reportedly started about two years, according to TMZ. After doing a stint in rehab in Aug. 2012, he was able to stay clean throughout the basketball season. But when the off-season started in May, he reportedly fell off the wagon and began using again.
This battle with drug abuse is obviously putting a strain on Khloe and Lamar’s marriage. And though Khloe reportedly kicked Lamar out of the house after he refused to go to rehab recently, a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that she plans to stick by him no matter what.
“She WILL NOT leave him,” the source strongly insists. That sort of support will be crucial going forward, and the family supporting Khloe in turn will be just as important.
