This story just gets worse and worse. Two days after a report claimed that Lamar Odom had a drug addiction that was threatening to destroy his marriage with Khloe Kardashian on Aug. 23, a new report alleges that the NBA star has gone completely missing, and friends and family are panicking.
Khloe Kardashian, and the whole Kardashian family, are reportedly worried sick because Lamar Odom has been M.I.A. for nearly 72 hours — roughly ever since a report hit the internet claiming that he had a debilitating addiction to crack cocaine.
Lamar Odom Missing For Nearly 72 Hours?
No one has been able to contact or find Lamar for close to three days, according to TMZ. Friends and family are obviously concerned for Lamar’s health and safety, and reportedly the main concern is that he is hiding somewhere abusing drugs.
Lamar’s substance abuse issues — which have been fingered as the reason for his and Khloe’s marriage troubles — were first reported on Aug. 23, also by TMZ. The 33-year-old basketball player reportedly began using drugs about two years ago before entering a rehab facility to get clean.
He was able to stay off drugs during his NBA season, but once it ended he reportedly fell back into his old ways, and it has been driving a wedge between him and Khloe ever since. Khloe reportedly threw Lamar out of their house recently after he rejected the family’s plea to go back to rehab.
Khloe Kardashian Rants On Twitter
While Lamar was reportedly missing on Aug. 25, Khloe took to Twitter to rant about the reports and demand privacy.
“Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk s**t about my family! F**k you and shame on you! I’m too protective for this s**t!,” she aggressively wrote.
It’s not exactly a denial, but you can understand why Khloe is furious and panicky. It must be hard enough to deal with a problem like this in private — to have it right out there in the public eye has to be extremely nerve-racking.
If Lamar is really missing, we just hope his family eventually finds him, or that he comes back soon. He might feel very alone right now, but hopefully he realizes that Khloe and his family are there to help and support him.
