It ain't no lie — 'NSYNC reunited for its highly anticipated performance at the MTV Video Music Awards! Read on for more details on the songs, style and reactions.
'NSYNC made fans feel like it was 2000 all over again, as Justin Timberlake, J.C. Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick took the stage at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards reunion — complete with those perfectly synchronized dance moves we all knew and loved. It was an amazingly nostalgic performance that had everyone screaming and on their feet!
'NSYNC Reunion At MTV VMAs 2013: ‘Bye Bye Bye’ & More
Before ‘NSYNC took the stage to sufficiently tear up our collective heart, Justin performed a medley of the songs that made him a solo superstar. We got everything from “Suit & Tie” to “My Love” to “Like I Love You.” (Remember that jam?)
But then, the big moment arrived. A dazzling display of lights at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center ushered in the arrival of Justin’s former bandmates, all looking super dapper.
‘NSYNC started its set with “Girlfriend,” then mixed in a little “Bye Bye Bye.” And, oh yes, the classic dance moves were in full effect.
It was short, but it was definitely sweet.
Justin Timberlake’s Solo Honor
Justin was also honored for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, also known as MTV’s Lifetime Achievement Award, for the effect that he’s made on pop culture over the years. From denim cowboy hats to suits and ties, we couldn’t agree more!
Since 'NSYNC's last performance was at the 2003 Grammy Awards, it was definitely time for another reunion — and what better time to do it than 10 years later at the MTV VMAs? With all the buzz from performance speculations to Joey Fatone's dad confirming the reunion, the former boy band was the highlight of the night.
