Tameka Raymond released a touching picture of her and Usher‘s 5-year-old son Usher Raymond V in the hospital following his August 5 near-drowning incident. Wrapped in a blanket and safe in his mother’s arms, this pic helps confirm the boy’s safety — and lets us all let out a major sigh of relief.

Usher's 5-year-old son was taken to an Atlanta hospital on August 5 after nearly drowning in the pool after getting his arm stuck in the drain. The boy’s mother, Tamkea, posted an endearing pic of the little boy’s recovery to Instagram on August 8 along with the following caption:
My favorite 5 year old. What a blessing! I have always loved and appreciated my sons but tragedies and close calls make this even more evident. URV had an angel named Kile Ishmael and our Lord and true savior to look after him. Words cannot express the relief and how thankful to God I truly am. Thank you Jehovah God, Jesus and Kile … also The AV worker that saved my son is my Hero!!!
The little boy was surrounded by family, love, and festive get well soon balloons — including a few of cartoon character balloons which surely brightened his hospital stay.
Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Raymond Files For Custody Of Sons
TMZ reported that Tameka is “blaming Usher for the pool accident” and is taking the opportunity to push for more custody of her two young children. The site reports that Tameka is using her social media sites and photos to further her cause, showing how nurturing of a mother she is.
Any mom would want to be this close to her child after such a scary accident, but Usher and Tameka are heading to court in Atlanta on August 9 for an emergency custody hearing. Is the timing of this pic just a little too perfect?
