BCBGMAXAZRIA debuted boho chic prints and lots of cutouts on the runway for their Spring 2014 fashion show on September 5, but we were backstage getting all the dish on the hair and makeup looks. They are totally easy to do in real life — check it out below.

BCBGMAXAZRIA Runway — Gorgeous Makeup Looks By SEPHORA
Lead makeup artist Val Garland wanted to create a “veil of perfection” for the models. Key traits were bold lashes, nude lips and a bronzed face.
Val told HollywoodLife.com that the look was “a lot of play on texture. This girl is structured. We’re taking the tuxedo and re-working it — it should be a little laid back. Effortlessly chic. Fresh faced but finished polished and androgynous.”
Val used products available at SEPHORA, adding, “they have a lot of fantastic products.”
The eyes were “smokey but very real. It was important that looked approachable and chic . I used three mascaras.”
The overall goal was to “trick” the audience. “She’s not wearing makeup… or is she?” Val smiled to HollywoodLife.com.

Hair was created by Laurent Philippon for Bumble and Bumble.
“I think it’s a lot of girls’ dream hair,” Laurent told HollywoodLife.com.
To achieve, hold the curling iron parallel to the hair – up and down — to create the soft, angelic look.
For some girls, it has taken an hour, but it looks like she just woke up.”
“Who is the BCBG girl? Young, cool and naturally gorgeous — she’s not showing that she spent time on her hair,” Laurent added.
