The Duchess of Cambridge had fans all over the world anxiously waiting for the birth of the royal baby in July — but the process was a whole lot calmer for Kate! When the time came, she was happy to be able to deliver her baby naturally the way she planned to.

Kate Middleton went into the delivery room hoping to be able to go through a completely natural birthing process — and that’s exactly what she got. She delivered her son Prince George naturally and complication-free, and it all went so well that she’s even calling her experience “perfect.”

Kate Middleton Labor Details — Duchess Told Friends It Was 'Perfect, Natural'

Kate had a relatively smooth delivery — and she took it like an old pro even though it was her first baby! “She spoke to some of her best girlfriends after the birth and described the birth as perfect,” a source told Vanity Fair.

“She said it was straightforward and there were no complications,” the source reveals. “She wanted a natural birth and she was so happy she was able to have one.”

Kate’s natural birth and quick take to motherhood didn’t surprise close family friend George Brown. He told Vanity Fair:

She was fit and competent from the word go. She seemed to take to motherhood amazingly well, and when I went round to see her, she was happily breastfeeding and seemed to know exactly what she was doing.

Kate Middleton’s 11 Hour Labor Was Painkiller-Free

Kate’s labor may have been self-described “perfect,” but that doesn’t mean it was easy! She went through 11 grueling hours of labor before her son was finally born — and she did it all without any painkillers! She “insisted on keeping the stressful process completely natural and shunned the slightest bit of pharmaceutical comfort,” reports the NY Post.

What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Are you surprised that Kate’s labor went so well?
