The star definitely took a risk with her outfit choice on the carpet of her upcoming film’s NYC premiere. What do you think of her mix-and-match style? Do you LOVE or LOATHE the dress-over-pants look?
Julianne Hough attended the NYC screening of her film, Safe Haven, on Feb. 11 at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in NYC with her co-star, Josh Duhamel, 40. Though the 24-year-old star is not exactly known for conventional attire, she never ceases to keep us guessing. This time, she strutted down the black carpet in a delicate dress over a pair of women’s suit pants…interesting combo, even for someone who likes to have fun with their fashion!
Julianne donned George Hobeika from head-to-toe in a gray embroidered dress over a pair of matching trousers at the event, which was sponsored by Self magazine. The high neck of the dress added a touch of class to the trendy look. Her silver point-toed heels, also by the designer, were the final touch to the unexpected get-up. She went a little bit more casual when it came to her subtle silver Norman Silverman jewelry.
This is not the first time we’ve seen a fashion icon try to pull off the dress/trouser ensemble. Emma Watson, sported a similar look at the premiere of her film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower in September 2012. The 22-year-old donned a black strapless dress over a pair of black skinny trousers.
Though her outfit may be a little exotic, the superstar was all smiles, as usual as she prepared for the premiere. Safe Haven comes out in theaters this Valentine’s Day…just in time for one of the biggest date nights of the year!
We LOVE the bold look of Julianne’s new style, but what do you think of the dress-over-trousers ensemble? Does it have the potential to be a cool new trend or is it too outlandish? Let us know by voting and leaving your comments!
