Pilot Scoop: NBC's Hatfields & McCoys Casts Virginia Madsen as Family Matriarch Feb 13th 2013, 00:30 NBC’s Hatfields & McCoys pilot — a modern-day continuation of the legendary family feud — has cast Virginia Madsen (Sideways) as matriarch Eloise McCoy. Set in present-day Pittsburgh, the prospective series will use a shocking death to once again pit the families against one another. Can the blue-collar McCoys usurp the Hatfields' wealth and power as they each wrest for control of the city? John Glenn (Eagle Eye), Charlize Theron, AJ Dix (The Butterfly Effect), Dawn Olmstead (Prison Break), Beau Flynn serve as executive producers on Hatfields & McCoys.
