An SUV crashed into Christian Academy Child Care facility in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Kansas City police Sgt. Marisa Barnes. At least 3 children and 1 adult were injured in this tragic accident. Read on for all the breaking details of this terrible incident.
SUV Crashes Through Front Entrance Of Missouri Day Care
The crash happened at the Christian Academy Child Care, Kansas City police Sgt. Marisa Barnes told KMBC. Two cars appear to be involved in the actual crash, and at least one plowed through the front entrance of the Academy after the collision.
Police were called to the scene of the crash at 12:56 p.m. local time, said Sgt. Barnes. The crash happened at 3600 block of East 27th Street.
3 Children, 1 Adult Reported Injured In Kansas City Crash
The total number of children affected by this horrible crash was not immediately known by police.
According to the KMBC Twitter page, officials at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City “report 3 kids have mild to moderate injuries.” KMBC also reports at least one adult was injured in the accident. Those injured are being treated at the hospital and are reportedly ”serious, but not life-threatening” condition, as city communications director Danny Rotert tells KMBC.
At least three children were critically injured in the accident, while two children were reportedly trapped underneath the SUV, reports The Kansas City Star.
