Singer Kat Dahlia has been arrested and there’s quite the story behind it! The singer was reportedly pulled over by police officers for speeding around 3 a.m. on July 30 and her car allegedly reeked of alcohol.
Kat Dahlia Arrested For DUI & Resisting Arrest
The 23-year-old singer was reportedly speeding around Miami in her 2013 Nissan when police pulled her over. When they asked her to get out of the car, after smelling alcohol, she reportedly became “belligerent.”
Then she reportedly began cussing out the arresting officer and refused to be handcuffed. She was first given a field sobriety test but failed. The officer reportedly had to force her hands behind her back to cuff her.
She was taken to the police station and booked for a misdemeanor DUI and resisting arrest. She is reportedly still being held on a $2,000 bail and it’s unknown if she’s since been released.
The arresting officer claims that she was driving with her headlights off. He also claims that she had blood shot eyes, this doesn’t sound good.
Kat’s first album with Epic Records called My Garden, is expected to drop this September.
This all sounds very unfortunate but at least no one was injured. This is just another perfect example as to why you should never drink and get behind the wheel of a car. It’s dangerous and not a good look for your career, especially when you’re just starting out!
