Anthony Weiner‘s newest alleged sexting buddy has been revealed. The pretty brunette, 23, who goes by the online name Sydney Leathers, has been unveiled as the woman behind his newest scandal, and she is a blogger for the Indiana Progressive Liberals and was a field organizer for President Obama‘s re-election campaign. Sydney Leathers Is Anthony Weiner’s New Sexting Buddy
Anthony shocked the world in 2011 after he was caught sexting with another woman, and on July 23 a new woman — believed to be Sydney — came forward to claim she had a virtual affair with the former Congressman from July 2012 to November 2012. Anthony confirmed the chats and photos she revealed were real in a statement, although he would not name his lady friend.
So who is Sydney?
Sydney, a liberal activist from Illinois, was revealed by the Mail Online as Anthony’s sexting buddy just hours after the woman released copies of explicit conversations with the former Congressman and pictures of his genitals, along with claiming they had a lot of phone sex.
There appears to be a lot of proof that Sydney is Anthony’s lady friend, as she has proven online that she is a big fan of his.
In June 2011, she wrote Anthony could "continue sending dick pics every single day for the rest of his life” on her Facebook page, and she also wrote that she does not think he should resign.
Anthony, who was forced to resign from Congress in June 2011 due to a sexting scandal, is now being urged to drop out of the race to be New York City’s next mayor.
Anthony Weiner Releases Statement
Anthony said in a press conference in New York City on July 23:
I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have. As I have said in the past, these things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress.
While some things that have been posted today are true and some are not, there is no question that what I did was wrong. This behavior is behind me. I’ve apologized to Huma and am grateful that she has worked through these issues with me and for her forgiveness.
Anthony’s wife, Huma Abedin, stood by him through the last scandal, and she is standing by him again.
