New 'X Factor' Season 3 Promo Warns Viewers To 'Expect The Unexpected' Jul 24th 2013, 18:48, by Andy Swift ‘The X Factor’ is (almost) back! The third season premiere of The X Factor is creeping ever closer — Simon Cowell and his merry band of judgmental beauties return Sept. 11 — and Fox is really trying to get us amped with an energetic new promo. There’s a light show, there’s Macklemore bumpin’ in the background, and there are more close-ups of Mario Lopez‘s solo-hosting mug than you could shake Zack Morris’ giant phone at. But the real draw of this latest video is the lady-judges: Demi Lovato, along with newcomers Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio. They all look just terrific. The new season’s tagline, however, is pretty disappointing. “Expect the unexpected?” Yeah, OK. I know we’re supposed to really excited about the new season, but honestly, Simon’s face at the end of this promo sums up exactly how I’m feeling: HollywoodLifers, are you stoked for the new season of The X Factor?
