The ‘Teen Mom 2′ star smiled through her mug shot — and her August 14 release from jail! Jenelle was greeted outside of jail by her boyfriend Nathan — and he went all out to welcome her back. See how Jenelle’s jail time will impact her court-ordered probation.

Jenelle Evans was released from an unexpected 48-hour jail sentence on August 14 after failing a spontaneous court-ordered drug test at her August 12 court hearing. She seems to have taken the jail stay in stride, as she was seen smiling with her boyfriend Nathan Griffith exiting the jail. After he met her outside the detention center, the pair embraced and Jenelle took straight to Twitter to announce her return.

Jenelle Evans Leaves Jail — All Smiles With Boyfriend Nathan Griffith

Jenelle, 21, was all smiles as she greeted her boyfriend Nathan outside of jail after her release. He brought her a lovely bouquet of white roses and a cute teddy bear. The pair hugged outside of the Wilmington, North Carolina Sheriff’s Detention Center.

After going noticeably silent during and after her court hearing, her first tweet after being released from jail was:

Hey bitches!

What a way to announce her arrival. She later followed up with a Miley Cyrus lyric, tweeting directly at the singer:

I run things they don’t run me, don’t take NOTHING for nobody!

After her few initial smug tweets, she started on a retweeting spree, sending out supportive messages from her fans and thanking them. She also tweeted out a pic of a leopard print cloth with letters spelling out “WELCOME HOME,” that Nathan hung up at home to greet her. Looks like she was so glad to return back to her everyday life.

Jenelle Evans: What Her Jail Time Means

So what’s the cause of her good spirits? Even though Jenelle had to serve jail time, it will not make an impact on her probation. “The jail time sentence was unexpected and it wasn’t part of any plea deal,” Jenelle’s attorney Dustin R. T. Sullivan told E! News. “But when she tested positive for marijuana she was given two days in jail. It is routine if you come to court they can test you and they tested others that day as well.”

“I think she was pleased with the outcome of the cases,” Dustin explained. “She was pleased the other charges were dismissed so she was okay with doing the two days in jail … She was at ease with the jail time.”

“She was definitely happy the felony charges were dropped,” he said. “She has no other charges she is facing. She has no restrictions on her other than she can’t violate any laws because she is on an 18-month unsupervised probation. She can now go back to her home in Myrtle Beach and move on with her life.” Her jail sentence seems more an inconvenience to her than a wake-up call.

What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Are you surprised that Jenelle was in such good spirits?
