UPS Plane Crash Victim – Shanda Fanning Identified As One Pilot Killed
“As a small child, Shanda had a fascination with flying," family friend Buford Jennings told Web Pro News. "She grew up determined she was going to fly."
Shanda, 37, reportedly learned to fly at a young age and was thrilled when she found work doing what she loved, according to AL.com.
Sadly, the UPS Flight 1354 that she was co-piloting flew out of Louisville, Kentucky and was approaching Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport when it skidded across a highway and crashed in a horrific explosion.
Authorities haven’t released the name of the other pilot. Thankfully, no other crew members were believed to have been on board.
