Lea is so brave! Less than three weeks after the death of her beloved boyfriend Cory, the songstress is back at work on the set of 'Glee,' and a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that she’s staying strong.
Lea Michele has endured her boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith‘s death with amazing grace and courage, and now that she’s back at work, she’s showing that she’s a true professional — even as she grieves this terrible tragedy. In fact, Glee creator Ryan Murphy called Lea a "pillar of strength" and "an extraordinary human being” after her return. Read on for more EXCLUSIVE details about how Lea is coping on set.
Lea Michele Returns To ‘Glee’ After Cory Monteith Death — Holding Back Tears
After Naya Rivera broke the news that Glee would resume on August 5, fans wondered if Lea would be ready to return so soon – but she surprised us all when she went back to work early on August 1 to record songs and have her wardrobe fitted.
“Lea is very strong in the process so far,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She is really trying to show a strong face on set to the cast and crew, but you can tell she is still in a haze.”
It’s hard to imagine coping with a loss like the one Lea has suffered, and it’s so inspiring that she is getting back on her feet so soon. Of course it will be difficult for Lea to be back at work — especially because she will be completely surrounded by reminders of Cory — but she has to take it one step at a time.
The cast and crew of Glee is planning a tribute to Cory, but our source says Lea won’t have to work on that just yet.
“It’s definitely a good thing that they aren’t starting with the Cory tribute, because it is good to just get them back into work,” the source says. “Lea can turn it on while there, and then fall apart when it’s all done and she has to think of Cory.”
At least Lea will be distracted for part of her days now that she’s back at work. Plus, singing will probably be a good release for her pain and sorrow.

This is her third positive tweet since Cory’s death, as on July 31 she wrote, "Spending the day surrounded by great friends.. Hope you all are having a good day.. Sending lots of love to you all.."
Lea also thanked her many, many Glee fans for their support, and she remembered Cory with a touching picture.
