Perrie, ever since you walked the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square for the One Direction: This Is Us movie premiere on August 20 with a huge diamond ring on your finger, I was hoping that you guys had made it official, and now we know you did!

Perrie and Zayn, you are both only 20-years-old, but I am so glad that you are making such a big commitment to each other. Yes, you are young, but this will only make your relationship stronger and your affection for each other stronger.

“It’s official. I’m over the moon. They are really in love,” Debbie Edwards told the Dorset Echo newspaper. ”It’s wonderful because Zayn is absolutely gorgeous. It’s true they got engaged on Sunday [August 18] and it’s absolutely lovely. Perrie loves him to pieces and it’s perfect. They get on so well together and understand each other. It’s just fabulous.”
Perrie, it speaks volumes that your mother is so happy that you are engaged to a guy that she calls “perfect,” and that she knows how in love you are with each other.
One Direction's rep confirmed the engagement and told HollywoodLife.com, "Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private."
It’s sweet that you guys want to keep your relationship private from the media, and this proves that you are mature enough to be engaged.

Perrie, you and Zayn are crazy about each other! Not only Zayn have a tattoo of you on this arm, you recently gushed about how much you like him in an interview.
"Zayn is so lovely," you said. "You know things are good when you can't wait to see the other person. It's a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he's fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him."
Plus, Zayn and Perrie, you both got your start with your bands — One Direction and Little Mix — on The X Factor, where you both became stars. You work in the same industry and understand the pressures of fame, so you have tonnes in common.
