Queen Latifah is the newest hair care spokesperson for Pantene, specifically their Truly Relaxed and Truly Natural collections, it was announced on September 5. See what the Queen told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about her new business venture below!

Queen Latifah is an award-winning singer, rapper, writer, and actress, just to name a few, and now she can add hair model to her resume! Pantene announced Queen as their newest brand ambassador on September 5 and she spoke with us EXCLUSIVELY all about the brand and why she loves it so much.

Queen Latifah For Pantene — Their Newest Hair Ambassador

“I've used Pantene for years, so it was something I really wanted to do because I actually use their products and I think they're a great company,” Queen spilled to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“Pantene is not trying to be anything else but an amazing company for hair. I just thought it would be great if I could work with them, especially targeting African American women, because that's what I am! You know, they're so global – they're everywhere. If I'm in Italy, I can get Pantene, if I'm in France, I can get Pantene, if I'm in Jamaica, I can get Pantene. Accessibility is something that's really important to me and, of course, having products out there that really work for African American women is important for me. Pantene's Relaxed and Natural collection is very important to me.”

And for Queen, it’s not just about expanding her empire, it’s about helping women.

“It's always exciting for me that I can work with a brand that I actually use. I have to be able to use it. I can't put my name on anything that I don't believe in and that I wouldn't use myself. I can't go out there and lie. I need to feel comfortable.”

Why The COVERGIRL Choose Pantene

The reigning COVERGIRL chose to work with Pantene since she understands how important hair is to all women.

“We express ourselves through our hair,” she said. “It's an extension of who we are and how we feel. So to have products that are very easily accessible to us, to the masses, and yet made for us, with us in mind, with our different hair qualities in mind is important.”

Queen On Her Upcoming Talk Show

Get ready to see her take over day time TV starting on September 16th!

“John Travolta will be my first guest and I'm excited about that,” she told us. “He will set the tone for what I would like the show to be about. Really talented people, cool, down to earth, and fun. We have some really, really funny things happening in the show so I think people can look forward to laughing every time they watch my show. That's just how I am — I want to make sure I have a good time so that you'll have a good time.”

We can’t wait to watch!
