The fatal fight reportedly started in the school hallway after Luis bumped shoulders passing one of this victims. After exchanging heated words about the run-in, he shoved the teen, who he says punched him back. Luis responded by pulling a folding knife from his pocket and swinging it multiple times, reports Fox News.
2. Luis Alonzo Alfaro Voluntarily Gave Statements Admitting His Actions To Police
Hours after getting into a brutal fight in his high school hallways, Luis gave a voluntary statement to police detailing the hallway fight, according to authorities.

At the age of 17, Luis is old enough to be tried as an adult in his home state of Texas.
4. Luis Alonzo Alfaro Is Being Held On $150,000 Bond
The charged murderer is being held in Harris County Jail on $150,000 bond following his arrest, according to Fox News.
5. Fellow Students Are Calling The Incident ‘Wannabe Gangster’
Immediately following the incident, concerned parents and students at the school were worried that this was a gang-related fight. The Sherrif’s Office reveals that fights and gang violence have been a problem in the past school years. Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia said “there has been some information that this [event] may have been gang-related,” reports CNN. The Houston Chronicle reports that it was not gang activity, but kids acting out in a similar fashion.
