The April ‘Self’ cover star shares in a new interview that she hasn’t had any plastic surgery (yet!), but that she does use a laser treatment to hold off wrinkles! Read on to learn more about this A-list procedure!

Actress-singer Gwyneth Paltrow, 40, is no stranger to being in front of an audience, whether it’s on stage, on magazine covers, or on the red carpet. With so many eyes constantly watching her, she wants her face to be as young and wrinkle-free as possible, which is where her use of laser treatment comes in!

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Wrinkles Treatment: Lasers Vs. Plastic Surgery

No plastic surgery yet for the superstar, but to look younger, Gwyneth recently used Thermage, a laser procedure used to decrease wrinkles, and is really happy that she did because of the great results!

“I don’t mind a few wrinkles and freckles,” Gwyneth said in a recent interview with Daily Mail. “I had this laser treatment recently, Thermage, and it took a couple of years off my face but I haven’t had any plastic surgery yet.”

Thermage Boosts Collagen, Erases Wrinkles

Thermage works to erase wrinkles and tighten the top layer of skin by increasing the amount of collagen in the lower levels of the skin. By using radio waves instead of needles like some treatments, this procedure affects only the lower layers of the skin, and not the the top layers.

Celebs Love Using Thermage

Gwyneth isn’t the only celeb to forego some plastic surgery in favor of Thermage. Kim Cattrall has been known to use this procedure to keep their faces tight as well.

“This creates subtle, natural looking results like smoother, tighter skin, softened wrinkles and lines and an overall younger looking appearance, without having to go under the knife,” Dr. Rita Rakus, who has offered the laser at her London practice for five years, told Daily Mail. It costs about 3,900 British pounds or around $6,000 dollars.

What do YOU think Hollywoodlifers? Would you ever give the Thermage treatment a try?
