In a new video interview, Selena’s ‘Spring Breakers’ co-stars, the ATL Twins, try to call her and are shocked to find out that she changed her number. Did she change it to avoid Justin’s calls and texts?
Selena Gomez changed her cell number some time after she finished filming Spring Breakers, we found out when her co-stars, the ATL Twins tried to hit her up in an interview and only got an automated message saying the number was.
Selena Gomez Changes Her Phone Number
The twin brothers Sidney and Thurman Sewell, who play James Franco’s character’s creepy sidekicks in Spring Breakers were talking about Selena’s viciously loyal fan base – "It's an army of I would say anywhere from 5-10 million people” — to Vice magazine when they decided to call her up and get some direct quotes.
Only that never happened, because Selena has changed her phone number since filming the movie and meeting the twins — “The number you dialed is not a working number,” is the message they got.
Selena Gomez: Did She Change Her Number To Avoid Justin Bieber?
So why did she decide to get a new number? There are a few possibilities.
The first is that she changed it in a continued effort to avoid her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Spring Breakers wrapped up filming in April 2012, when Selena and Justin were very much still together — perhaps she opted for new digits when they went south (no pun intended)? Since they’ve split, we’ve seen Selena make very conscious efforts to avoid and ignore Justin. For example, HollywoodLife.com exclusively reported that Selena purposely doesn’t answer his calls. A new phone number could be the next step!
There are other possibilities of course. It’s entirely possible that a fan or the wrong person got a hold of Selena’s number, so she was forced to change it. Big celebrities are likely forced to do this pretty often.
Another, funnier possibility, is that Selena purposely gave the ATL Twins the wrong number because she was creeped out, and they embarrassingly just realized it on camera!
