Lil Wayne made his first appearance since being released from the hospital, making a video message directed to all his caring fans. Seems like he’s made a full recovery — click on to watch the video!
Lil Wayne is back! In a homemade video message for his fans, Weezy was energetic and made us forget that his brush with death happened just one week ago.
Lil Wayne Out Of The Hospital: His First Video Message
Recorded on Mar. 20 at 11:30 PM, the video begins with a smiling Lil Wayne sitting alone — in a room sort of set up like a bootleg late night TV show — smiling wide. He introduces himself by his nickname, “Tunechi,” and begins by thanking all of his fans for their thoughts and prayers.
“But I want all y’all to know that I’m good. More than good,” Wayne then says.
The homemade update then turns into a homemade commercial. Lil Wayne first promotes his album, I Am Not A Human Being II, which comes out on Mar. 26. He humorously refers to it as his, “bum ass album.”
Then Weezy transitions to pushing his summer tour, “America’s Most Wanted,” and a friend drops by to add some hype. Wayne’s close friend, T.I. rolls in and the two trade off excited boasts about the tour and barbecuing. It’s fitting that T.I. shows up in Wayne’s first video back — he was one of the first celebrities to tweet angrily about news reports that Lil Wayne was close to death.
The video ends with Wayne telling viewers to “kiss my fist.”
Lil Wayne’s Hospitalization: Was It A Hoax?
The video’s focus on promoting Weezy’s upcoming projects is pretty sketchy, and a little too opportunistic considering how seriously people were reacting to the seizure news on Mar. 15. But Lil Wayne’s never been one for manners.
Either you believe that Wayne is just making lemonade out of lemons, turning a bad situation into an opportunity, or you believe that this WHOLE thing was a wild stunt. This video can actually confirm both of those theories.
