Kate Middleton Bundles Up In Chic & Casual Outfit For Scout Camp Visit Mar 22nd 2013, 22:37 The Duchess of Cambridge isn’t the type to slow down while pregnant, and on March 22 she kept busy — camping in the cold! But the stylish mom-to-be bundled herself up in a casual green coat, protecting herself and baby from the bad weather at Scout Camp near Newby Bridge in Cumbria. Pregnant Kate Middleton, 31, is keeping up with her royal duties by attending public engagements — and on March 22, she even roughed it a little bit when she went camping with the Beaver and Cub Scouts! The Duchess of Cambridge is a volunteer for the Scout Association. She is currently undergoing training with the scouts, and will then later pass on her skills to the scout group back near her home in North Wales. Kate visited the Great Tower Scout Camp near Newby Bridge in Cumbria Kate Middleton Learns How To Cook Twists Even though it was cold, Kate wore cute outwear like her tweed hat from Rare Wild Clothing, three layers of sweaters, jeans, and boots. While out the Duchess learned how to make “dampers,” or “twists.” “I’m not sure if these are going to look particularly edible,” Kate joked to Daily Mail. She then tore off a piece of the bread and tried it! “Oh, its actually not bad,” she told the group. “It is quite sugary though.” Becky Coates, 38 who also helped make the twists, talked about working with the expecting mother. “It was great fun, she’s lovely. You can tell she enjoys it and got stuck in, she was straight in there. She was just treated as one of us, scouting does that, it’s an amazing atmosphere,” Becky told the Daily Mail. “[Kate] said, ‘Maybe see you again in another scouting field.’ She chuckled that it could not have been much colder.
