JT is on fire right now, and he doesn’t plan to stop. The drummer Questlove may have spoiled the secret and revealed that Justin already has a ’20/20 Experience’ followup in the works. Keep reading for more details.
It took Justin Timberlake six years to make a new album, but he’s making up for lost time — drummer of The Roots, Questlove, claims that part two of The 20/20 Experience is set to come out by the end of 2013.
Justin Timberlake: ‘The 20/20 Experience,’ Part Two?
Before opening Justin’s SXSW show on Mar. 17, Questlove responded to the New York Times review of The 20/20 Experience on the Okayplayer.com forum. His response mostly praised the album, but The Roots drummer also slipped in previously unheard news that JT is planning on releasing a second album this year.
“spoiler alert. 20/20 Vol 2 comes out in nov. (10 songs now…..10 songs later= 20 vision),” Questlove posted. So if Quest, who said that Justin had enough ideas to make two albums, is to be believed, then we should expect The 20/20 Experience, Pt. 2 sometime in November of this year!
It at least makes sense that Questlove might have insider information like this. They just finished spending a lot of time together when Justin was a week-long guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, for which The Roots are the house band.
Justin Timberlake: Back To Being A Musician
After pursuing his acting career and making fans wait so long for new songs, Justin rededicating himself to music is great news. We already can’t get his singles “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors” out of our heads! We want more — and it looks like we might get it!
The 20/20 Experience (Part One) is out tomorrow, Mar. 19.
