TMZ is reporting that despite Lindsay showing up to court 48 minutes late on Mar. 18, she’s managed to strike a plea deal. Will she still go to jail?
Lindsay Lohan isn’t going to jail, for now. According to TMZ, the reason why Lindsay’s court hearing has begun, as of 11:30 AM PST, it’s because she has somehow miraculously managed to work out a deal with the judge. We told you that Lindsay was supposed to be in court at 8:30 AM PST and instead, showed up at 9:18 AM. Just minutes before she arrived, HollywoodLife.com spoke with Lindsay’s dad Michael Lohan, who is in the court house.
What Lindsay’s Dad Told Us
“She’s late for court,” Michael said. “She should have been here a couple of days early and Dina should have gotten her here.”
Lindsay was on a flight to LA but she got off because she didn’t feel safe. Around 6 AM EST, Lindsay got on a private plane, which was diverted to LAX so that she could get to court as close to 8:30AM as possible. Yet she was still 48 minutes late.
Lindsay is in court because it’s her first trial date stemming from a car crash in June of 2012. She got into an accident but claims she wasn’t driving — police think she’s lying. She could have wound up in jail for 245 days.
