Taylor Swift has been open that she uses her love life as inspiration for her music, but during a March 28 concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., the 23-year-old became emotional during her live performance of “All Too Well” — and was brought to tears after the passionate performance.
During her performance as part of her “Red” tour The superstar singer sat at her piano and started hitting the keys for the slow, emotional ballad, and revealed to the crowd the inspiration behind the song:
“When I write songs I wrote what I know. I wrote who’s in my life and who’s not anymore. The only way to get over something is to write about it. The only way is to write about it but its hard when you feel so many things and you don’t know what to write about. So I’m just going to write the story of what happened because I know it all too well.”
After the emotional ballad, she let out a huge gasp and had tears in her eyes. Although Taylor hasn’t revealed who she originally wrote the song about, it sounds like it reminds her of her relationship with Harry Styles, and how it ended so fast and on such bad terms!
