Authorities have an image of a suspect carrying, and possibly dropping, a black bag at the second explosion scene, according to a new report. Officials are ‘very close’ to solving the case.
Two days after a massive explosion claimed the lives of three and injured at least 183 people during the Boston Marathon on April 15, authorities have reportedly obtained an image that may lead them to who’s responsible.
“Authorities have an image of a suspect carrying, and perhaps dropping, a black bag at the second bombing scene,” The Boston Globe reports. “Officials are ‘very close’ in the investigation of the Boston Marathon bombings. Bombing suspect possibly identified.”
Authorities may publicize their finding as early as this afternoon, the Globe reports.
A surveillance camera at Lord & Taylor, across the street from the second explosion site, provided clear images from moments before the bombings. It was not noted, however, if this camera was responsible for providing the photo in question.
