Taylor Swift was super ‘bitter’ during the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7, according to a new report. Read on to find out which ex ruffled her feathers!
Taylor Swift reportedly put on “a stink” at the April 7 Academy of Country Music Awards when she found out that her ex John Mayer would be performing before her. Taylor did get her way — she performed first — but that wasn’t enough to appease T-Swizzle.
Taylor Swift: ACM Awards Diva?
“[Taylor] said she had to go on earlier than [John],” a source tells Us Weekly of the performance lineup.
Taylor and John dated in early 2012, a relationship the country singer chronicled in the song "Dear John", off of her album Speak Now. In the track, she really let John have it, singing, "Dear John, I see it all now it was wrong/Don't you think nineteen's too young/To be played by your dark, twisted games/When I loved you so, I should've known."
Clearly, there was no closure at the end of that relationship.
Taylor, 23, took to the Las Vegas stage on April 7 with Keith and Tim. Keith played guitar while all three sang the sweet and sad song about being on the road. Taylor wore a cute black and tan dress, while Keith revved up his electric guitar!
Taylor certainly showed emotion, but if she was bitter, the singer did a great job at hiding it.
“After she didn’t win anything, [Taylor] bailed on a postshow dinner party,” the source adds.
Taylor’s rep says the story is “absolutely false,” but the source insists that Taylor “was just really bitter that night.”
